Dear Friends,

I am humbled by how many of you took time away from your weekend to e-mail your Senators and urge them to oppose the motion to proceed to the Senate immigration bill.

This bill requires the government to object to a "Z" amnesty visa applicant within one business day or the visa is considered granted, with further investigation to take place later or perhaps never, given 20 million potential "Z" visa applicants.

Meanwhile, Z visa holders are expected to learn only enough English to pass the naturalization test after as long as eight years and they are allowed three tries to pass a test which 84% of those who take it pass. (Not resolved is whether they can demand to take the test in Spanish, thanks to Clinton Executive Order 13166, which this legislation would also codify).

President Bush now says these amnesty recipients will learn to speak English eventually. Hillary Clinton has taken both sides of this issue, as I document on National Review Online today (go to http://www.nationaleview.com and click on "Hillary's Immigration Dilemma")

All we need are 41 votes on Monday afternoon "against the motion to proceed" to kill this legislative turkey.

Please contact your two Senators right away.

Thank you.
